The most famous market in Vienna with around 120 market stalls and restaurants provides a colourful culinary offer from Viennese to Indian, from Vietnamese to Italian. The Naschmarkt has developed into a meeting place for young and old. The flea market on Saturday is already a cult.

At the Naschmarkt, from dawn to dusk, a colourful mixed public buys fruit, vegetables or various delicacies from all countries. In the more than 120 market stalls more and more trendy restaurants are finding their quarters and offer free WLAN.

Culinary delights at the Naschmarkt in Vienna
The Do-An and Naschmarkt Deli were gastronomic pioneers. They managed to make the Naschmarkt interesting for a young, urban audience. Here, DJs also provide entertainment at the weekend. Since then numerous old market stalls have become popular meeting places thanks to modern architecture.

The Tewa am Naschmarkt offers organic cuisine, in the Neni Israeli-oriental specialties from Shakshuka (eggs with vegetables) to Taboulleh (Lebanese salad) are served, while in the Orient & Occident the wives of the owners cook Turkish home cooking. Fish lovers get their money's worth in the Umar. For many, the restaurant is considered the best fish restaurant in Vienna. Recommendable fish restaurants are also the Fischviertel and the Nautilus.

With the Trattoria Pulcinella a pizzeria has also settled at the Naschmarkt. The further spectrum of culinary delights ranges from Indian in the tiny but great Indian Pavilion to numerous Asian restaurants and Viennese cuisine in the Iron Age.

Also in the surroundings of the Naschmarkt many more restaurants opened. On the right Wienzeile, opposite the Naschmarkt, is the Café Amacord. Excellent Viennese cuisine in a cosy atmosphere is on the program here. The ON Market is a place that never sleeps. The visually impressive restaurant with colourful textile artworks on the walls offers fine cuisine from the coasts of Asia, from breakfast to late snacks at night. In the equally worth seeing ChinaBar at the Vienna, spicy Sichuan cuisine is served.

Especially on Saturdays, the Naschmarkt is very busy, also because of the weekly flea market. Even if you don't want to buy anything, the colourful spectacle is worth seeing. It is especially pleasant to sit outside at the Naschmarkt in summer, eat and drink and watch the hustle and bustle.
